Scholarships

Annie's Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship - Annie's Homegrown is a company based out of Berkeley, California. Annie's Homegrown offers an annual sustainable agriculture scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students seeking an education focused on responsible agriculture food stability. 

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) - The AASHE grants awards to honor students from AASHE-member institutions who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting campus sustainability at the community college, four-year university, and graduate institution levels. Application deadlines vary.

AVANGRID Scholarships for Master’s Studies in the United States - AVANGRID’s Scholarships for Master's Studies in the United States seeks to cultivate the next generation of professionals, who will provide the energy and innovation that will drive AVANGRID and the energy industry forward. The AVANGRID scholarships are offered as part of the global Iberdrola International Master's Scholarship Program, which is also offering scholarships in Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil. AVANGRID is the U.S. affiliate of Iberdrola.  The program is geared towards students in their final year of study or recent graduates who want to continue their education in different areas such as data science, engineering (civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical and power), renewable energy and smart distribution networks.

Blades of Green Scholarship Fund - This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students. In order to be considered for this award, you must be pursuing education in Environmental Studies or related fields and submit a letter of intent describing what inspired your pursuit of a sustainability-focused field.

Fellowships

American Association of University Women (International Fellowship)International fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported.

Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New AmericansThe Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is a fellowship program intended for United States immigrants and children of immigrants.

For Veterans and Their Families

Yellow Ribbon Program - The University of Miami is an active participant in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. This provision of the post 9/11 GI Bill helps cover the expenses of earning a master's degree. Opportunities for study are available for active duty personnel as well. Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces are encouraged to visit the official website for the program.

Tillerman Scholar Program - Scholarship For Service (SFS) is a unique program designed to recruit and train the next generation of information technology professionals, industrial control system security professionals, and security managers to meet the needs of the cybersecurity mission for Federal, State, local, and tribal governments. This program provides scholarships for up to 3 years of support for cybersecurity undergraduate and graduate (MS or PhD) education. The scholarships are funded through grants awarded by the National Science Foundation. In return for their scholarships, recipients must agree to work after graduation for the U.S. Government, in a position related to cybersecurity, for a period equal to the length of the scholarship.

Other Sources of Financial Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form that can be prepared annually by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.
